WSOP Europe: The 2011 edition to be held at Cannes
The World Series of Poker Europe (WSOPE) have always been a meeting place for fans of poker in the European continent. Since its existence, the WSOP Europe took place in London, the capital of Great Britain. This year, thanks to the collaboration between the Group Barriere and Caesars Interactive, the big event will move in Cannes. Thus, the Casino Barrière of Cannes Croisette and the Majestic Hotel will be the host of the tournament. Note that the WSOPE 2011 are expected to take place from October 7 to 21. This majestic city of Riviera will be a mecca of poker this autumn because apart the WSOP Europe, the final of the Partouche Poker Tour will be also held in Cannes in September 2011.
For this French edition, the organizers of the WSOP Europe hope to gather a field of 450 players, a hundred more competitors than the edition 2010 in London. To achieve this goal, some innovations were made. Indeed, two more bracelets will be awarded this year. Poker enthusiasts will therefore try their luck in 1,500 Hold'em 6-Max, 3,000 Hold'em, the two 1,000 Hold'em, the Omaha 6-max of 1,500, the 10,000 Split and the 10,000 Main Event. Online qualifying are already available for those who want to get a package to the WSOP Europe in Cannes.
