Riom Poker Association: One year of existence and already many members
They were only 4 or 5 friends who gather to play poker at the home one of them a year ago. An organization that asked only a little space. Shortly after, the group expanded to accommodate 10 to 15 players with as difficulty to problem to find a place to held the parties, but at the end, the group of players lead by Jerome Vidal choose the back-room of a downtown bar after its closing. As this was not enough, the idea of forming an association was inevitable for many followers of this discipline. Thus was born the association Riom Poker, which just celebrated its first anniversary.
Composed of 39 members today, the association Riom Poker has as point of rendezvous the Casino Châtel-Guyon to play the most practiced variant of poker, Texas Hold'em. For better organization, headed by the club president, Bernard Sicard, they decided a few weeks ago, that the reunion of all the members to measure up each other will be held every Wednesday evening. To make the game more attractive, each result registered at the end of the week will define the standings of the season, points mean prizes. Thus, the best players will receive a gift during the two great festivals organized by the association during Christmas and June, thanks to the individual annual contribution of 250. Moreover, the Riom Poker association that have at most some forty participants during its weekly meetings, will take part in the interclub championship.
