Dakar Poker Tour 2011: Confirmation of Roger Hairabedian
The third edition of the Dakar Poker Tour starts to take place on the world circuit. This 2011 version lasted a full week this January, from 11 to 17 in the Senegalese capital, precisely at Terrou-Bi Resort. Besides the Main Event of 1,500 which was played for 3 straight days of January 14 to 16, other events were scheduled for this meeting held on the African continent such satellites of 155 and 47 buy-in to qualify for the main event and the package for the Big Series of Poker in Marrakesh and a Freezout Deepstack of 500.
For this Dakar Poker Tour 2011, Roger Hairabedian didn't let escape the title of the 1,500 Main event , which assemble a field of 108 players instead of 150 planned. Confirming his position as a major player, Big Roger pocketed 36,557 more with this latest victory. Moreover, "Terminator" also distinguished in a side event of 500 buy-in with 81 participants by finishing second in this race with a gain of 6,462. This new success of the best French poker player in the Live Poker classification for the years 2009 and 2010, in this beginning of 2011 shows once again the determination of Hairabedian to confirm his status as one of the most successful practitioner of this discipline and to stay on the top of the podium at the national level.
