Poker Pro Canada Classic II: The second edition from January 27 to 30
Since the Canadian Jonathan Dumahel received the consecration of world champion of poker 2010, Canada became a major center of poker action. This great development of the Canadian poker industry coincides with the holding of the second edition of the tournament Poker Pro Classic Canada, the First Circuit held in Quebec. The inaugural event of last year was successful because 246 players in this country were present like Mark Kroon, Dave Stann and the Heads-Up champion Benjamin Lablond. To recall, Bill Kontaratos, Benjamin Lablonde, Tony Basile, Brian Friesen, Maxime Villemure, Zof Xavier, James Werry, Brian Hodhod, Ryan Howard and Oliver Baskic were the finalists of the event and the title and the largest share of the prize pool of $ 370,000 including $ 118,000 returned to Olivier Baskic.
After demonstrating a highly refined style of play, Benjamin Lablond had to settle for the third place. Organizers hope a much more glorious edition this year by estimating a crowd of 300 participants for the main event of $ 1,500 + $ 150 buy-in and generate a prize pool of $ 500,000. Qualifying satellite tournaments of $ 10 + $ 1 for the Main Event will be held. And players can also participate in online tournaments with a $ 2,500 package that includes a place for the competition and travel expenses of $ 850. From January 27 to 30, 2011, therefore, Four Aces Club of Montreal will be in the heart of the action.
