Thomas Marchese: Player of the Year 2010 of CardPlayer
CardPlayer magazine awards annually a prize for the most remarkable poker player in the international level. This year, CardPlayer elected Thomas Marchese as Player of the Year 2010. This is a very prestigious coronation that allows a player to put themselves among the notable players such as Daniel Negreanu, TJ Cloutier, Michael Mizrachi, David Pham and the Player of the Year 2009 Eric Baldwin. Some major players found themselves in top of the list during the selecting like the champion of World Poker Tour Borgata Dwyte Pilgrim who is currently in second place, Sorel Mizzi (3rd), the champion of the Partouche Poker Tour Vanessa Selbst (4th) and the runner up of the World Series of Poker in Las Vegas John Racener (5th).
Having started in online tournaments, Tom Marchese did an idyllic course this year which has certainly let him earned this honor. Indeed, he won a title in a stage of the the tournament North American Poker Tour. He was among the finalists of the High Roller Grand Final of the European Poker Tour (EPT) Monte Carlo, the Borgata Winter Poker Open, the World Series of Poker Pot Limit Hold'em $ 10,000, the EPT London and the WPT final. These achievements enabled him to record a gain in tournament of over $ 2 million during 2010. We must say that this player still less known by the public deserves this award. In addition, he is very proud and poised to sign a contract with an excellent introduction agency to launch his career for the years to come.
