French player of the year: Second consecutive coronation of Roger Hairabedian
Each year, the ranking Live Poker shows the most remarkable French poker players. The method of selecting had a slight difference this year. Indeed, players were judged on the results they accumulated during major live tournaments throughout the year. However, despite this change, the title of Best Player of the Year once again returned to Roger Hairabedian. With 1572 points in his account, he once again ousted the Corsican Jean Paul Pasqualini. Through their performance and their regularity, these two players who defended well the color of France at international level, found themselves in the lead. However, the title of French number 1 was again assigned to Big Roger.
This result of 2011 ranking shows some similarity with that of the previous year. The only player who had a poor result is Erik Haik who lost his rank in the Top 10. After his great success at Lille Barrière Poker Tour, the player of the year 2008, Bertrand Grospellier holds the third place with 992 points. Marc Inizan, Fabrice Soulier, Alain Roy, Stéphane Benabid, Franck Kalfon, Jean Jacques Mars and Nicolas Babel are among the Top 10 ranked in the 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th, 8th, 9th and 10th place. The champion of France Poker Tour 2010, Valentin Messina, is in the 22nd spot. We must say that he did a good run especially during these last months of the year.
