Trophées Haussmann : A victory for Elky Grospellier
Eagerly awaited by regulars of the Parisian circle Cercle Haussmann and poker enthusiasts, the second edition of the tournament Trophées Haussmann took place on December 9 to 11, 2010. The 105 players registered composed of poker superstars such as Barbara Martinez, Ilan Boujenah, Eric Qu, Thumy Clement, David Miara or Suat Uyanik acquitted the buy-in of 3,000 for the tournament. Three days of fearless fighting take then place at the Cercle Haussmann and on last Saturday, December 11, the 10 best players started the final table. Ultimately, the famous Bertrand "Elky" Grospellier captured the coveted trophy with a prize of 110,200.
After the many feats he performed as a poker pro whose most recent victory was at Lille Barrière Poker Tour, the great "ElkY" once again demonstrated his talent for poker as he completely dominated the players on the final table with Julien Brécart (3rd), David Miara (4th), Philippe Ktorza (5th), Barbara Martinez (6th), Christophe Sorel (8th) and Jean Paul Pasqualini (10th). This victory maintains his position as the best French poker player on tournament with a total gain of $ 6.3 million. The final heads'up opposed him to Fabrice Battioni who pocketed as runner up 62,000. The champion of the Trophées Haussmann give appointment to his fans in Prague and in the Bahamas for new poker events.
