Ante 4 Autism event: A poker tournament to benefit Autism Speaks
Charities taking the form of poker tournaments are increasing as these events are great ways to raise money to support charities. In January of the year 2011, the tournament Ante for Autism will be held for the third consecutive year in Las Vegas. This is a charity tournament organized to benefit the Autism Speaks organization which mission is to ensure public awareness campaigns about autism, to support research and help families of autistic children. Doug Krinsky, director of sales of Restonic and parent of an autistic child, will chair once again the tournament to be held on January 25, 2011 at 7:00 p.m at Binion's in downtown Las Vegas.
Note that one child in 110 suffers from autism disorders in the United States and Doug Krinsky hopes the success of this poker tournament in order to provide assistance to families of children with this disorder. He also remains optimistic that research will succeed and that the causes of autism will be finally discovered to find the best treatment and prevention. But in the meantime, he invites poker enthusiasts and generous donors to give hands for the success of the event. Online registration is open for all players aged over 21 years. The buy-in is $ 125 but $ 50 will be awarded to the association Autism Speaks. Each participant in the tournament will receive a T-shirts and a pine tree and the winner will win a plaque and a share of the prize pool. Donations to the association will also be received on the day of the competition.
