Big Poker Series: The new tournament of Big Roger
The contribution of Roger Hairabedian to promote poker in Africa is not a novelty for the poker community. He has already successfully launched two superb poker events in Morocco, which are the Morroccan Open Championship started since the beginning of 2010 and the Marrakesh Poker Cup, a High Stakes tournament with very high buy-in, making the Es Saadi Casino as host of privilege tournament in this small paradise in Africa. Both tournaments have won very good success. International players that are French in majority have enthusiastically participated. For the year 2011, Roger Hairabedian intends to maintain his objective and thus decided to organize a new poker circuit on African soil.
The new tournament is called Big Poker Series (BPS) and for its first stage of launch, it will land in Dakar, Senegal's capital. Poker enthusiasts who will attend the opening tournament will qualify for a deepstack tournament of 500 buy-in, a main event of 1,500 and a satellite qualifier of 220 to get a package of 3,500 BPS for Marrakesh. Effectively, Marrakesh will be the city which host the second stage of the BPS. The BPS Dakar will take place from January 13 to 16, 2011. As a package for this first launch, players will only have to provide 2,800 and will participate in three events of the BPS Dakar, and will be entitled to an accommodation of 5 nights, breakfast included, at the Hotel Terrou-bi 4.
