SPT Grand Final: Marvin Rettenmaier won the trophy
If the French public was hoping a first victory of Claire Renaut at the Grand Final of the tournament Spanish Poker Tour (SPT) held at the Gran Casino of Lloret de Mar from November 18 to 21, the luck turned towards to the German Marvin Rettenmaier. Chipleader at the beginning of the final table, he knew how to use his advantage in number of chips which permit him to have the honor of champion of the event, a title that earned him a profit of 111,000. Note that this is his first success in a live tournament. The French delegation largely represented at this final stage of the biggest Iberian tournament saw four of them to access into the money as Alain Roy (15th), Claude Julien Pierre (11th) and Ismael Hassan (5th).
The French hope depended on Claire Renaut, despite of her talent, was eliminated by the German Rettenmaier during the heads'up final and was consoled by the price of 60,000 for runner up. However, for her, this route at SPT Lloret of Mar was more than exceptional in her career as poker player. The third place went to Koen Bakker and Steven Van Zadelhoff was at the 4th place, a player who has also shown great skill to clinch this result despite his low stack at the start of this final battle. The French Léo Truche has also made a good run in Lloret de Mar because despite of his defeat at the Main Event, he shone in the side event and won the title of the event 330 buy-in and that of Funny Event.
