Charity Tournament: The Horseshoe Casino Hammond also take part in
For some time, the poker community has shown to the world that poker can be a means of supporting humanitarian work through the various charity tournaments to benefit charities. On November 18th, 2010, the Horseshoe Casino in Hammond which was the guest of honor at a stage of the World Series of Poker Circuit will host a Texas Hold'em poker tournament organized to support the Chicago Police Memmorial Foundation for its activities. Note that the foundation provides financial assistance to families of officers who died or are severely physically abused by doing their work. Since 2007, the foundation awarded more than $ 1.2 million to the families of victims, including a large share of aid allocated to subsidize the education of children.
This charity tournament will therefore start at 6:00 pm. The entry fee is set at $ 200 per person and players will receive 10,000 starting chips. For the public, an entry price of $ 50 per person will be offered. By carrying out this sum, they may attend the tournament, eat the buffet without forgetting the drinks. Even if it's a charity tournament, the Horseshoe casino decided to reward the top 15 players. Thus, the tournament champion will receive $ 4,000, a package of $ 10,000 to attend the World Series of Poker Regional event. The runner up will walk away with a gain of $ 3,500 and a package of $ 1,600 to attend an event at the World Series of Poker Circuit Horseshoe.
