France Poker Series: David Jaoui crowned at Saint-Amand-Les-Eaux
The 3rd phase of the France Poker Series 2010 (FPS) offered an extraordinary show to poker enthusiasts this weekend. The Pasino Saint-Amand-Les-Eaux hosted 233 players, a field less impressive than the stage of Divonne, but composed of many major players like Thomas Bichon, Mylène Cogan, Bertrand ElkY, Alain Toy, Marion Nedellec, Vanessa Hellebuyck, Antonin Teisseire but also Cathy Hong. All these people thus met and clashed with the goal to win the tournament title. But only 9 players were allowed to sit on the final table and which include Thierry Sellam, Fabien Luchia, Fabien Carliez, Frank Cartigny, David Jaoui, David Herbez and Ahmed Debabeche. The female gender was also well represented at this final by the presence of the champion of the ladies event of the World Series of Poker in Las Vegas, Vanessa Hellebuyck who finished in the 8th place at the end of the competition and Katrie Casper.
After the leaving of the table of unsuccessful players, Jaoui and Herbez fought during the final duel. Jaoui, a player well known by Parisian public for his talent, imposed himself on his opponent and succeeded by seizing the throne after having defeated Herbez. The lucky winner of the FPT Saint-Amand-les-Eaux was therefore awarded of 66,000 and a place for the grand finale scheduled to take place in Paris in February 2011. This is the greatest triumph of David Jaoui during his career. For her performance, Herbez pocketed a nice gain of 41,138. Fans of this circuit will meet again in Lyon in next November.
