Belgium Open Poker Championships : Many famous poker players at the event
The tournament Belgium Open Poker Championship (BOPC) has already started a few days ago and 607 players were registered during the first four days of competition. This year's tournament saw a slight drop in attendance, 210 players less than last year. However, the competition promises to be exceptional because the field is composed by many great players such as Liv Boeree, Ruben Visser, Tristan Clémençon, David Kitai, Marc Inizan, Nicolas Delvaux, Valentin Messina ... At this stage, a small incident affected the running of the competition as a power outage caused the suspension of the match for about 30 minutes. Tournament organizers have also evacuate some German journalists who helped their compatriots to cheat on the gaming tables. They were watching the other players' cards in order to transmit the acquired information to their friends. Also note that this stage of the BOPC attracted only a small number of media.
However, the first 4 days of competition offered an unprecedented show for the public of the casino of Namur. 147 survivors were able to start the first Day 2 of the Main Event of 1,700 buy-in with a remarkable presence of Remy Biechel and Ludovic Riehk. And on the second day 2, 117 players will compete on the gaming tables with Jerome Guermeur, Matillo Olivier, Anthony Lorieu, Nicolas Cardyn, Leornard Truche and Ronan Monfort who represent France. The tournament Heads'up per team of EUR 5,000 buy-in will also begin soon.
