World Poker Team: Carlos Mortensen as Spanish leader
Poker players grouped in teams to compete for the title of the World Team Poker tournament (WTP). Each country has a team led by a captain. In the previous competition, China seized the title. Absent during this competition, Spain has now a team and appointed its captain. Called as the Matador of poker, Carlos Mortensen will lead the Spanish team for the next competition of the WTP. His exploits and his talent as a poker pro allowed him to get this enormous privilege. For over 10 years, Mortensen participated in numerous tournaments and continued to accumulate great results.
His nomination at the head of the Spanish team is not a fortuity because the Matador has been named as the best poker player from Spain by the media. With a bankroll of $ 10 million recorded in live tournaments, two bracelets of the World Series of Poker (WSOP), three titles in the World Poker Tour circuit, Carlos Mortensen worth this appointment. Note that he will lead his team composed of Leo Margets, MVP of the 2009 WSOP Main Event, Raul Paez Santiago Tarrazi, 3rd at the European Poker Tour Barcelona 2009 and Oscar Blanco, best All Around Player in 2006. And the work will be difficult especially as their opponents had an experience in the circuit and have great skills as the U.S. team of Doyle Brunson, the Vietnamese of Men Nguyen or Chinese team, title holders.
