Vincent Lecavalier Foundation: A charity poker tournament for August 25th
The Casino of Montreal in collaboration with Vincent Lecavalier Foundation will organize a charitable poker tournament on Wednesday, August 25th, 2010. This is an event designed to help young students who are in a precarious financial situation which may force them to abandon their studies. Many famous personalities in sports and arts will participate in this charity tournament to be held under the patronage of the famous striker of Lightning of Tampa Bay. The field to participate will be limited to 200 players and those poker fans will pay a buy-in of $ 350 and they will do a re-buy of $ 150 during the competition.
On August 25th, therefore, participants will have a chance to play live with friends while providing assistance to these young people in deprived areas. Their contribution will provide them a better future. The poker room of the prestigious Montreal Casino has currently 18 gaming tables which will receive the tournament and participants will gather around tables of Texas Hold'em in a very friendly atmosphere. By applying in organizing such event, the Society of Quebec's casinos contribute to the social development of the community. Note that the Quebec Society of casinos is a subsidiary of Loto-Quebec and operates four casinos in the province. Registrations are already open and the winners will win scholarships totaling $ 60,000.
