Sky Poker Tour Swansea: Mark Brittain as champion
The tournament Sky Poker Tour held at Aspers Casino in Swansea, Wales has crowned its champion who was Mark 'Ratboy71' Brittain. The tournament registered a field of 125 participants. Famous personalities such as the former boxing champion Nicky Piper, James Dempsey who holds a bracelet at the World Series of Poker and the presenter of Sky Poker Ed Giddins participated in the championship. The final took place on Saturday, July 24, 2010 and the final table was composed by Mark Brittain, Chris Blaynee John Yesterday, Tommy Dyer, Steve Luke, Alan Thomas, James Limmer, Carl Williams and William Taylor. Brittain started the final with a short stack but little by little, he finished to get on one's feet again. So, after the elimination of the local player John Heir, Brittain started the final heads'up against Chris Blaynee alias Diggerman.
Both competitors showed a very high style of play throughout this final battle but Diggernam could not stop the intrepid race of Brittain which leads him to victory. Brittain, 28 years old, received then the trophy and the reward of £ 4,000. As runner up, Diggerman won the second prize of £ 2,600, while John Hier pocketed the sum of £ 1,800. The Sky Poker Tour gives another appointment to fervent poker player at the Grand Final which took place at Dusk Till Dawn in Nottingham on November 11th and 12th, 2010, a poker event not to be missed!
