Irish Classic Poker Festival Cork: Poker and tourism in the program
The 8th edition of the tournament Irish Classic Poker Festival will take place from August 12th to 22nd, 2010 in the city of Cork, Ireland. This city has been called the European Capital of Culture in 2005 with the gaiety of its people and their passion for partying and good atmosphere. It is also full of wonderful sights and it is also the city of the well-known beer breweries Murphy. Passionate of poker will then attend a unique poker festival in the heart of a an exceptional city and they will stay at the majestic Macau Sporting Club during the competition. The Irish Classic Poker Festival has always offered a lot of satisfaction to its participants through its magnificent program and modest buy-in tournament to allow an entire class of players to participate. This year, fans of the game will be entitled to four side events and Supersatellite allowing them to win tickets for the Main Event.
The main tournament with a guaranteed prize pool of 100,000 will be held on Friday, August 20th to Sunday, August 22nd and competitors must pay a buy-in 1,000 + 100 . Last year, the Main Event tournament brought together a field of 158 participants and the title was won by Peter Higgins, who pocketed for this feat the tidy sum of 45,000. This year, stars of poker as the young Norwegian Annette Obrestad will be among the competitors.
