Estrellas Poker Tour: Victory of the Spaniard Marc Colome
Spain made talk about itself recently, winning the title of the FIFA World Cup 2010 and the men's tennis championship at Wimbledon. The poker tournament Estrellas Poker Tour Madrid was also won by the Spaniard Marc Colome. This young champion of 22 years, from Barcelona, started the final table with the third largest stack. It was his first final table in a live tournament. The competition brought together a quite big field of 291 participants despite the fact that it took place on the sidelines with the World Series of Poker in Las Vegas. And many have poker players were part of the field including Juan Manuel Pastor, Alvaro Ballesteros and Sergio Garcia.
Marc Colome, Adrian Veghinas, Antonio Oliván, Cesar Palacios, Mustapha Kanita, Alvaro Marino, Najib Tahiri and Jorge Galino were therefore part of the final table of this 1,000 buy-in tournament and the final duel was between Colome and the Romanian Adrian Veghinas. Colome unveiled that his competitors are all players of a very high level of play. He ousted the Romanian at the heads'up during this final which allowed him to win this prestigious title and also earned him a gain of 67,519. As runner up, Veghinas pocketed 44,500. The next stage of the Estrellas Poker Tour tournament will run from November 22th to 27th.
