WSOP Main Event : French best players eliminated during Day 1
The Main Event of $ 10,000 buy-in of the World Series of Poker 2010 (WSOP) began on last July 5th. Like every year, this event always registered as a huge number of participants. Many players from France were part of this broad list, but unfortunately, some of them could not go far in the competition. Since the Day 1A, we saw the gradually elimination of French players like Nicolas Ragot aka “arctarus", followed by Rui Cao, Manu Bevand, Cyril Andre, Julien Labussiere and Antonin Teisseire. Among those who stayed in the race include Thomas Bichon, Adrian Allain, Marc Barillier to name a few. The player leading in the race after the end of the Day 1A was James Mitchell followed by Michael Mizrachi at the 4th place.
The defeat of French players continued during Day 1B. Some of great poker players of France did not last long as Bertrand "ElkY", the godfather of Moroccan poker, Roger Hairabedian, Julien Brécart and Anthony Roux. But the French poker community remains optimistic about the future performances of Vanessa Hellebuyck, Ludovic Lacay, Anthony Lellouche, Jean-Paul Pasqualini and Alexandre Bonnin, who are among the French players who survived the day of competition. The leader at this Day 1B was James Danielson. Indeed, the goal of all participants during the qualifying games is to accumulate the largest stack possible in order to stay as long as possible on the gambling tables and thereby access at least in the paid listing. But apparently, the battle was difficult which might explain the carnage of the French side.
