$ 10,000 PLO of the WSOP : Ludovic Lacay misses the podium
While French hope rested on the poker player from Toulouse Ludovic Lacay at the event Pot Limit Omaha (PLO) of $ 10,000 buy-in of the World Series of Poker (WSOP), luck was against him. Indeed, this young poker player began the final table with the second largest stack and everyone knows his talent for the game. He managed to differentiate between a wide field of 346 players made up of famous poker stars such as Tom Dwan, Phil Hellmuth or Jason Mercier. Thus, French spectators hoped to sing again the French national anthem after the magnificent victory of Vanessa Hellebuyck but unfortunately, the coronation of the event returned to Alaei after the final duel, which opposed him to the Quebecois Miguel Proulx. This last is then the runner up of the tournament and left with a gain of $ 482,265 while the champion Daniel Alaei pocketed a wonderful bonus of $ 780,599 and for the occasion won his third WSOP bracelet.
Despite the loss registered by Lacay, he still got a good rank in this event because he was the fourth winner with a gain of $ 262,208. This new award made him the first French player with the biggest gain at the WSOP 2010 currently recording a gain of $ 357,164. The third place returned to Mattila Ville who pocketed a prize of $ 354,218. Trevor Uyesugi, Stephen Pierson, Stelmak Dmitry, Alexander Kravchenko and Matthew Wheat are ranked in the 5th, 6th, 7th, 8th and 9th place.
