French online poker : Controversial about the rake
As we know, the opening to competition of online games in France is an achievement that is no more to debate. But all is not rosy because there is already an outcry, this time from some French players. They claim about the percentage of rake taken by poker rooms which is considered as too high for them. A step has been done for them but this did not satisfy players, they raise the pressure on the government. Note that without the rake, the system is not sustainable. As the players are at the base of the phenomenon, it is quite normal if they protest by looking for the most effective way that would satisfy both sides, the middle somehow.
Indeed, the levy on different levels penalize poker players, as rake on the flop and preflop, considered as real maxim for online players. According to them, operators of online poker receive broad benefits to the chagrin of users. Which conduct to this reaction in chain from poker enthusiasts from various operators across the French territory. In general, the levy on the flop was rapidly reduced from 5 to 2% to calm the tension. Almost all operators are aware. Do not forget a fact which could lead to serious consequences in the future if we do not take action: the division between French. It is counterproductive in reducing the tournament offers and by extension, a loss for everyone. As protestation, the members of a poker site has taken another initiative by boycotting rooms for a few hours pretending to play without spending a penny.
