WSOP TOC Day 2: Mike Matusow takes the command
The serial Tournament of Champions of the World Series of Poker at the Rio, in Las Vegas continues to surprise the public but especially the major players. At the end of Day 2, the provisional classification of the 17 surviving elite players was completely different from the final result on Day 1 with the elimination of five other champions even if there should be only 9 remaining players, which somewhat messed up the pre-established program. The 17 remaining poker ace will therefore have to decide between July 3rd, 2010 to be among the nine finalists who will compete for the trophy and the considerable sum of $ 500,000 on July 4th, 2010. It is on the table games that they will celebrate the independence day.
If the route of Doyle Brunson, Andrew Barton, Joe Cada, Mike Sexton and Dan Harrington finished at the end of Day 2, a former title holders, Mike Matusow, dominated the game and became the tournament chip leader with a stack of 85,500 tokens, equivalent of 10.5% of the total. The remaining 90% are thus divided : 73,000 for Huck Seed, 68,600 for Johnny Chan, 64,700 for Scotty Nguyen, Joe Hachem had 64,300, 58,900 for Erik Seidel, ditto for Allen Cunningham, Phil Hellmuth had 44,100, 42,600 for Annie Duke 39,900 for Daniel Negreanu, 38,800 for TJ Cloutier, 34,200 for Jennifer Harman, 30,800 for Howard Lederer, 30,100 for Chris Ferguson, 29,900 for Barry Greenstein, 24,400 for Antonio Esfandiari and 21,400 for Bertrand Grospellier.
