Thus, the Canadian began in poker in 2004 and four years later, he had already accomplished feats which enabled him to rank among the most talented players in the world. Indeed, Montgomery finished 5th at the Los Angeles Poker Classic $ 9,900 buy-in, a stop of the World Poker Tour. For this magnificent performance, he pocketed the tidy sum of $ 290,000. Montgomery continued to impress the poker community by completing a very successful route to the World Series of Poker (WSOP) 2008, where he finished in the 5th place in the Main Event. This is an excellent rating, which also pushed his tournament winnings to three million dollars. And this year, Scott Montgomery has won an outstanding victory in the $ 1,000 buy-in No-Limit Hold'em tournament of the WSOP 2010.
Indeed, Scott Montgomery has managed to dominate a wider field of 3,102 participants and has shot to the head of the competition to take the title, the enormous prize of $ 481,760 and the prestigious bracelet coveted by poker fans participating in this great annual event. The champion started the final as the second player with the poorest token. But the talent and skill he outstretched since the beginning were particularly successful during the final confrontation. Thus, despite the reputation of other opponents in the table of the game, Montgomery has risen to the final face head's up facing him to Mick Carlson. This last did not withstand the aggressive attacks of Montgomery and resigned himself to the position of runner up while the winner received the coronation that makes him one of the famous holders of a WSOP bracelet.
