Vanessa Hellebuyck: A graphic designer converted in poker for 4 years
Vanessa Hellebuyck is the first poker star to have successfully defended the honor of French players at the World Series of Poker (WSOP) 2010, by winning the victory in the Ladies Event. But before being a poker superstar, Vanessa is a mother filled and loved by her family. She lives in happiness in Paris alongside her husband who is also a fan of poker and their two daughters. She focuses much on her family and to be able to take good care of them, Vanessa decided to work at home as a graphic designer. She discovered her passion for poker thanks to her brother and she started in online tournaments 4 years ago. She choose low buy-in tournaments because she is not a real big fan of betting. And it turns out that she has already experienced great success because she managed to accumulate a bankroll of $ 5,000.
This reluctance of this woman player to high stakes tournaments has moved her far beyond live tournaments because she could not find tournaments that she estimated as admissible according to the amount she want to spend. But in the end, she let herself be carried away by the fever of the game by agreeing to launch in the satellite of Partouche where she finished in 8th place during the grand final which took place in Cannes. She has since chained magnificent feats in poker. Her unpredictability and cunning, her undeniable talent and intuition have propelled her to victory in the WSOP. In addition, she received a lot of encouragement from her countrymen. Vanessa who want to protect the welfare of her family intends to focus on online tournaments. Nevertheless, fans will see her in major live tournaments sometimes.
