WSOP Ladies Event : A French victory
The Ladies Event tournament of the World Series of Poker 2010 (WSOP) has seen an invasion of male players. This situation had somewhat annoyed women stars, who led tournament officials to send them their sincere apologies and promise them a ladies tournament as they are waiting for in the next edition. But despite this fact, this event of the WSOP had experienced a staggering battle because queens of poker have demonstrated their great skill during the tournament. The final table of this poker event have faced nine women whose Allison Whalen, Bonnie Overfield, Holly Hodge, Kami Chisholm, La Sengphet, Loren Watterworth, Sidsel Boesen, Timmi Derosa and Vanessa Hellebuyck.
These ladies have done an exceptional finish. Loren Watterworth was the first to leave the tournament. Despite her tenacity to stay at any price on the gaming table, her low number of tokens did not allow her to go further. She was followed shortly after by other unlucky during this party to leave finally Vanessa Hellebuyck and Sidsel Boesen to fight for the championship title. The two fierce rivals have therefore begun the final duel with a mind more combative than ever. However, this final heads-up last only 10 minutes because Boesen could not resist too long face to the huge accumulated chips by Vanessa. Vanessa Hellebuyck won thus the Ladies Event 2010 and brought back the title in France, and at the same time, she pocketed a colossal sum of $ 192.132 and the prestigious bracelet coveted by all. Boesen was again at the second position and received as reward the tidy sum of $ 118.897.
