Paul 'Smalls' Kitsos: A cardiac arrest in mid-flight for the WSOP

An unfortunate tragedy has descended upon the poker community. The 55 years Texas Hold'em player, Paul Kitsos aka “Smalls” died aboard a flight of the United Airlines Flight 863 which left JFK airport to San Francisco on last Monday at 5 : 25 p.m. The poker player's intention was to reach Las Vegas to participate in the World Series of Poker (WSOP) tournament. After 20 minutes of flight, this man of 1m 80 and weighing 159 kg complained of being sick according to the information gathered. When a manager of the flight approached him, Kitsos was sweating and had a huge difficulty in breathing. After a few seconds, the manager of the flight had difficulty to detect a pulse and the doctor on board the aircraft reported his death at 6 : 23 p.m.



The route of this player has indeed ended, despite his performance and his passion for poker especially Texas Hold'em variant. In addition, this player has accomplished magnificent feats and picked up a lot of winning during his career as a poker pro. Indeed, he has already finished in the 320th place in WSOP 2008 during which he pocketed $ 32,166. He has also accumulated $ 387,764 gain on the World Poker Tour and his best performance accomplished as a player was at the Borgata Summer Open where he earned the biggest win of his career as effectively as the fifth finalist, he won the sum of $ 103,500. Apparently, Paul Kitsos was victim of a cardiac arrest.
