French online poker license : A second list expected
After the publishing of the first list of legal sites established in France where to play online is now authorized, a list published in the Official Gazette of last Tuesday, June 8th, 2010, the Regulatory Authority of Online Gambling (ARJEL) concocts already the fterpart. If a total of 17 licenses for sports betting and poker has in fact already been unveiled, several operators have also deposited their demands and are still get impatient on the outcome of their application. Indeed, a total of 35 license applications have been received by the authority but a few criteria for compliance of certain candidates and the analysis of their records have not yet allowed to deliver the sesame.
Betclic.fr, Beturf.fr and of course PMU are in the first list of operators legally authorized to offer horse betting, and they are already in operation since Wednesday. Similarly, Unibet, Bwin, ParionsWeb (La Française des Jeux), France-Pari, Chilipari, PMU, and Sajoo Europsortbet already have in their possession the agreement to work as sports betting operator via internet without forgetting the decision of the ARJEL about the authorization given to fifteen sports which can be a subject of a bet such as athletics, motor racing, rowing, basketball, cycling, horse riding, golf, handball, judo, motorcycling, rugby, tennis, table tennis, volleyball and of course football. And despite the fact that online poker operators have already received their approval, players must wait the time of publication this summer of new technical documents relating to the procedure to unsubscribe and re-registration of players and the opposition of Malta before playing. And soon the release of the second list of online poker rooms allowed, the offer on the market will be enriched.
