LAPT Lima 2010 : A double achievement for Barbero
The tournament Latin American Poker Tour (LAPT) 2010 ended last Saturday, June 5th at Atlantic City casino in Lima, Peru's capital, with an outstanding achievement done by the Argentine player Jose Barbero. Indeed, Barbero won the LAPT Lima 2010 and collected thus the handsome sum of $ 250,000 promised to the champion of the Latin American event. Admittedly, this hero has accomplished an extraordinary performance in his career because he currently holds two LAPT trophies. Effectively, Barbero is the winner of the stage Punta del Este in Uruguay of this same poker tournament in February during which he pocketed a handsome reward of $ 279,330.
Thus, Argentina has shown once again unbeatable and despite some difficulties, he had valiantly struggled to clinch many advantages during the tournament. Twice chip leader, Barbero completely dominated his opponents on the final table. He managed to propel himself with ease in the final head's up face to Ben Barrows and during this final battle, he again showed great skill and ousted Barrows and become then the champion of the event. With this new triumph, Barbero has done a magnificent double in the history of LAPT. The poker community and his fans are entitled to expect a third victory in the next stage after this high performance that the champion has once again demonstrated in this stage of Lima. LAPT lovers will meet in Florianopolis, Brazil from August 4th to 8th, 2010.
