WSOP Event # 6 - $ 5,000 NLHE Shootout : Tieman as winner
Some 358 players showed up for the $ 5,000 No-Limit Hold'em Shootout during the two days of competition in the World Series of Poker 2010 (WSOP). A tournament highly anticipated by poker fans who saw the coronation of the young Joshua Tieman face to the competitors invited at the final table. One after one, he put off the French Nicolas Levi rank No. 5, the American professional Joseph Elpayaa ranked fourth and the British expert Stuart Rutter lying in the third place to overcome the other British Neil Channing during the final head's up. Thus, he won for the first time in his career his first gold bracelet after three attempts at the WSOP final table including one last year in the $ 1,500 No Limit Hold'em with a ninth place and he also finished third in 1,500 $ No Limit Hold'em 2006 WSOP.
To return to the new holder of gold-plated bracelet in 5,000 $ No Limit Hold'em Shootout, Joshua Tieman with a first live victory of his career, earned 441,692 U.S. dollars. This amount is three times his gains in all the tournaments he has won so far. Tieman total thus until now a gain of $ 627,291 in poker. This victory in the "$ 5,000 No Limit Hold'em Shootout" live of the WSOP, is a first for him. Also on the schedule of the WSOP, two other programs are still in contention: a $ 1,500 NLHE Shootout with a player of the PAC 2000, and $ 1,500 Limit Hold'em Shootout.
