Coupe de France de Poker : Victory of Nicolas Villemin
The finals of the first Coupe de France de Poker (France Poker Cup) has indeed closed in Monte Carlo with the victory of Nicolas Villemin. 2,500 poker enthusiasts of France were involved in the qualifying tournaments that were held in different regions of France to be among the competitors in this grand final in Monaco. The route of this young poker player was remarkable for having been ranked 6th in the selection of Versailles, he has performed an extraordinary feat in the final championship. Villemin had played a very good game at this tournament and despite the fact that he was the youngest of the final table, he managed to win all his opponents. Initially, Villemin has hit bottom and he was nearly oust but his determination finally allowed to remain on the table game for much longer.
After a battle of masters, Villemin grabbed the title and pocketed for this feat the jackpot of 20,000. The price of the second finalist worth 12,000 was won by Fabrice Matheu who is also a star of French poker. These two French players will therefore represent France at the Main Event of the World Series of Poker because in addition to their prices, they have also won each a package for the main event of the world championship of poker that is taking place in Las Vegas. Fans of French poker thus put their hope in the young champion to win the prestigious title and a magnificent jewel in the WSOP.
