Rennes Regional Final: Fabrice Matheu of Tours as winner
The Regional Final of Rennes of Sunday, May 9th, 2010 was won by Fabrice Matheu, a qualified poker player in the city of Tours. The champion managed to win before the other 49 qualified participants from other French cities such as Nantes, Brest, Tours and Rennes after a thrilling battle maps that lasted about 10 hours. The selected players fought with full force by deploying many tips and strategies to give themselves the first place. But despite the performance achieved by each player, luck was on the side of Matheu. During the final head's up which opposed him to Samuel Gauthier, a representative of the city of Rennes, Fabrice Matheu has demonstrated his charisma and his talent and eventually win. In addition to his winnings, he has the right to sit in the Grand Final in Monte Carlo next May 30th. At this big competition, he will meet with seven other very clever poker players.
For their part, the 8 finalists of Rennes were really spoiled because apart of their respective gains, they are also entitled to participate in the upcoming World Series of Poker in Las Vegas. Matheu and Gauthier are the most preferred because they will sit in the main event of this world championship of poker. This is an incredible opportunity for these habitants of Rennes and Tours and their access in the professional world of poker. Moreover, Antoine Saout made this challenge in 2009, finishing 3rd place in the main event of $ 10,000 buy-in.
