BMW Paradise Poker Tour: The tournament became lawful
The Indian Ocean has now also its world tour of poker. It is a former member of the Office of the General Council of La Reunion who heads the organization. BMW Paradise Poker Tour was the name given to the first Poker Tour of the area. It will run throughout the months of May and will involve some 600 followers of the game. The call for players was launched from April 5th through advertisements broadcast daily on RFO Télé. Reunion players can then register online or by phone. The conduct of BMWPPT will be broadcast on the same channel every Saturday through September emissions during each 5 minutes. Players daring and finalists will be particularly highlighted. Participants who reach the final table, which will therefore be eight in number, will be rewarded with a trip and participation in tournaments of the World Series of Poker (WSOP) in Las Vegas. The stage in La Reunion of the tournament will be cordoned off by a festive evening coinciding with the Festival of Music.
All this is good news, but on the other side of the coin appears the signature of an offense. The organizers, a little overwhelmed by the scope of the organization, are in fact also passed legislation because in La Reunion, organizing poker tournaments is only reserved for casinos. The authorities were quick to respond, threatening, but organizers were quick to get back on track by joining the legality of casino premises for organizing the whole event. Two satellites were then deleted. Everything is now in order and the tournament is now lawful !
