European Poker Tour San Remo: Liv Boeree crowned
After her victory at the European Poker Tour San Remo, Liv Boeree become the first woman in the history to win a stage of this European Tour event. The beautiful English player follows in the footsteps of her two elder sisters, Vicky Coren and Sandra Naujoks. But she is still the first woman to win during this season 6. The European Poker Tour San Remo is probably the step that is the most popular among poker players. This year, there were 1,240 players to sign while last year saw the participation of 1,178 players. This great participation has generated a prize pool of 6,014,000, an amount that made this tournament one of the most attended of the year. As expected, Italian players were the most represented in the tournament with 412 players, followed by French players who were 112 during this event.
But the destiny had decided that there were only one Italian player who arrived on the final table, and the first French player were only ranked at the 27th place with Michel Abecassis who makes the best French performance. While there remained only three players on the final table, Liv Boeree had the lowest stake but she had known how to nibble some chips of her opponents. The Swedish Jakob Carlsson was the last obstacle for the coronation of the beautiful English at this poker tournament. The British champion wins 1,250,000 for her good performance.
