Florida: A poker player accused of murdering his wife
A man residing in Pompano Beach, Florida is accused of breaking brutally his wife's head before putting her body in the family van before he take the direction of a casino nearby to play some poker hands. Robert Oulton, 62 years old, initially denied having any relation with the death of his wife Yvonne. He completely rejected all the accusations about the murder. But upon leaving the interview room, he made a surprising statement to his son Bryan. According to Dr. Lance Davis, medical examiner, "this type of injury means that the killer had a real intention to kill the victim after the second strike."
Davis said that Yvonne Oulton was murdered within 45 minutes after having dinner with her husband in "Big Louie", a restaurant in Pompano Beach. He estimated the time of death between 6: 00 and 6: 30 p.m. on Sunday night. A waitress noticed that there was "nothing unusual". The surveillance tapes obtained by BSO show the couple who returned from the industrial complex where they lived. The victim's body was discovered in his Dodge van on Sunday night just three blocks from the casino where the husband played poker. His relatives said that the Oulton couple are regulars of organized poker tournaments. Oulton had used his own son as cover.
