The Poker Lounge: Soon on Channel 4
With the success of emissions and live televised poker games like Poker After Dark, the live broadcasts of the World Poker Tour (WPT), the World Series of Poker (WSOP), Stars of Poker, ... television continues to accommodate new concepts. After the show Big Game, online poker operators and media groups are still going to conquer the viewers. This is the case of a new television show that has just been announced in the UK. In fact, Londoners will soon enjoy on Channel 4 the new show called: The Poker Lounge. This is a show that will feature an amateur player who will have behind him five professional poker players. Players like Phil Ivey, Howard Lederer, Gus Hansen, Jennifer Harman and many others will be part of those who will go on top of this TV show.
So, thanks to Channel 4, Londoners will live confrontation between players qualified online with the pros. Having the form of a sit & go, the tournament have a buy-in of $ 20,000, the game will therefore issue a winner and in every emission, he or she will pocket the jackpot of $ 120,000. In presenting the program, its organizers have announced the start of the show for next June the 21st. It lasts about two months and each episode will be broadcast daily on TV. To participate in the qualifiers for this tournament, players are invited to try their luck from the 4th of April. The deadline will be on the 4th July 2010.
