GUKPT London: Vietnamese players received the honor
The Grosvenor United Kingdom Poker Tour which took place last week has attracted many players as they were 318 to register their names on the starting grid. The reason of this success is undoubtedly the importance of the first prize since it stood at £ 127,000. This high attendance created then one of the greatest final tables ever seen in the history of the Grosvenor United Kingdom Poker Tour. There were among others the star Laurence Houghton, champion of the European Poker Tour, Vicky Coren, Rumit Somaiya, blogger McCool Mick, GUKPT champion Darren Annis. But ultimately, it is a relatively unknown player Cuong Tran who win the tournament.
Neil Channing has been considered the favorite to be crowned champion, he first eliminated Leon Bui. The final head's up happened between Neil Channing and Coung Tran. And this last sealed the game in two hands only. Coung Tran is a former owner of a beauty salon of Vietnamese origin and what is still surprising is the third place of Leon Bui, also a former beautician Vietnamese. Tran advised that he will participate regularly on the next GUKPT. After London, the tour is now heading towards Manchester G Casino Bury New Road and will host the 4th stage of the Grosvenor United Kingdom Poker Tour on April 17 to 25. But before that, the second round of the tournaments GUKPT Club Championship will be held Saturday, April 10.
