Poker tournament: The Canadian Poker Tour licensee seeks buyer
According to the rumors that have been broadcasted on CNN on Tuesday, March 16, Global Media Company Heads Up Entertainment is currently in negotiations to sell the Canadian Poker Tour, but the company would also accept a simple partnership. The Company believes that Canada has the second largest market of online poker in the world. A partnership not only attracts more attention to Canadian poker but HeadsUp Entertainment becomes a leader in the entertainment industry of poker. HeadsUp Entertainment seeks to attract more poker players, and Canada seems to be an anchor. HeadsUp is currently the owner of Canadian Poker Player Magazine and Canadian Poker Player Network. With these two brands in its credit, it brews 40,000,000 poker players in North America.
"Companies of online poker realize that their market share would allow them to market their platforms for players in North America," says the CEO of HeadsUp, Kelly Kellner. The HeadsUp company will not release the details of the transaction, but Kellner believes that the number of negotiations will inflate very quickly. The market of online poker is becoming increasingly competitive, making the services of HeadsUp Entertainment more valuable as a factor that will certainly affect the financial negotiations. The fact that is certain is that big poker rooms will rush to link to this company.
