The British poker champion Marcus Bebb-Jones, who is suspected of murdering his wife will know if he will be extradited or not next month. This native of Kidderminster is actively searched by U.S. authorities. The former hotel manager has appeared in court in the city of Westminster for a full extradition hearing yesterday. The district Judge Howard Riddle will give his decision on April the 12th, after reviewing all the evidence. Aaron M. Watkins, for the U.S. government, told the court: "The facts demonstrate the premeditated sustained and the attempt to conceal the crime after commission." Ben Cooper, attorney for Bebb-Jones said that an extradition would only create a parody of justice and violate the rights of his client.
If convicted guilty in Colorado, Bebb-Jones would be imprisoned for life. To recall, the capture of Bebb-Jones was held Wednesday, November 18, 2009 in a house in the city of Kidderminster, in England. He is accused of having done scale spending with the credit cards of his wife a few days after the disappearance of the latter. Bebb-Jones then attempted to end his life. According to the representative of the U.S. government, the accused, an avid of poker would have visited the city of sin where he would have lost thousands of dollars, some of this money was charged to the credit card of his deceased wife. The judge decided to postpone his decision and he mentioned that the accused will be under supervision until February 22 for a video interview. The judge had intended to complete the deal March 10, but had to postpone to April 12.
