Robbery at the EPT Berlin: Criminals will soon be arrested
The latest European Poker Tour in Berlin, held at Casino Spielbank was the scene of a spectacular robbery. Six masked men armed with knives and gun entered first in the Registration office, which is in a few meters from the tournament room in the Grand Hyatt Hotel. Then they broke into the poker room and seized Marina, wife of Thomas Kremser, who is none other than the tournament director of the event. They subsequently threatened to detonate a bomb hidden in the room if anyone want to give them the contents of the fees of the tournament. Players, spectators and dealers panicked, leaving behind coins and other goods. After that, the bandits got away with $ 224,000.
Even if these robbers are still running, they live their last days of freedom. The German police are in possession of a videotape where they can see faces of the robbers. This confirms once again the amateurism of these burglar. German police prepare to broadcast in Germany their portraits in strategic points of the country. From the videos released on platforms such as YouTube and Facebook, their attitudes suggest that these people were not pros and they had no specific plan. A simple vigil has succeeded in sowing confusion in their acts.
