LAPT of Chile: The tournament canceled due to earthquake

Apparently, nobody can do anything against the law of nature because last Saturday, February the 27th, Chile has been struck by an earthquake reaching a magnitude of 8.8 on the Richter scale followed by a tsunami. These two natural disasters have caused extensive damage on both the inestimable human life and materials. In fact, according to the results issued by the Chilean government, this tragedy has caused the death of 795 person. Chile is in full shock. But the big poker tournament awaited by followers of the game entitled Latin American Poker Tour (LAPT) was scheduled to take place at the Casino Enjoy ViƱa del Mar in Maule, the coastal area the most ravaged of the country.



It was the biggest tournament organized in this region and a lot of participants have already completed their registration to be part of this wonderful poker tournament. Besides many game fanatics wait with impatience the start of the tournament. Unfortunately, these big poker fans will be disappointed because after this gruesome event, organizers were forced to cancel this Chilean step. In a statement, they sent their sincere condolences and great sympathy for the victims of this natural disaster and they also announced the cancellation of this series of LAPT. A very bad news for players. Obviously, they have not forgotten to send their apologies to avid participants while assuring them that their expenses will be reimbursed.
