After knocking Alli Mallu, who were relegated in the 3rd place, the player born in Belfast has faced Anthony Crotty at the Head's Up for the title. In the last hand, McTaggart was facing a difficult decision after a re-raise all-in droppings. After several minutes of reflection, he paid his opponent, showed AK and had a straight which beat Crotty.
McTaggart was qualified for the Grosvenor United Kingdom Poker Tour through a freeroll online. "My goal was to play in a GUKPT main event this year and I was delighted to have won my way through the Players Club AWOP. It was a dream to be able to continue in the tournament until the final victory. All of it cost me £ 30 for fuel, said the young champion. By winning the trophy for this poker tournament, he also won a seat for the tournament Champion of Champions which will provide £ 150,000 to the winner. To win at the final table was not an easy task for Collin because he featured two winners of the previous GUKPT.
