WPT LA Poker Classic: Daniel Negreanu still in good position
WPT LA Poker Classic touched yesterday its second day of the championship at the Commerce Casino. There were only 187 players in the race among the 463 of the starting field. Several big players of tpoker have been eliminated early from the tournament like the great Phil Hellmuth, Chris Ferguson and Gus Hansen. But the talent of Daniel Negreanu has not deceived because he managed to win so far in being part of the trio head of the chip leader aof the moment. Salvatore Deluca in head and Paul Taylor in second place just ahead of, Negreanu appeared for his part in the third position with 316,500 chips in hand. Apparently, the poker pro will realize his desire to win another trophy and a new big gain for the year 2010 as during the Day 1 of the tournament, he showed again his great talent.
Following the championship promises to be stunning because many prominent players will compete on the green tables as Eugene Kachalov in the 4th position with 279,000 chips followed by Michael Woo at the 5th position with 250,000 chips in hand. Women were also well represented in the platoon of head because the champion of the High Roller EPT Monte Carlo is located at the 6th position with 221,700 chips in her possession while three lovely ladies were still in the race for the rest of the tournament who are Lauren Kling, Erica Shoenberg and Lisa Hamilton. Unfortunately, to the chagrin of fans of French poker, representatives of the hexagon have all been banned from the WPT LA Poker Classic namely Klaus Patrot, Fabrice Soulier, Bertrand "Elky" Grospellier and even the champion of Premier League IV, David Benyamine.
