NAPT: A player from the internet champion
The second stage of the North American Poker Tour (NAPT) which took place in the prestigious casino Venetian between the 20th and the 24th of February has just delivered its champion. It is a young 22 years old player from the planet online poker who clinched the title. Until here, the phenomenon of online poker Tom 'Marchese kingsofcards' has never entered in the money in a big tournament of live poker. So now done, he went back even with a check for $827,648 and the gleaming trophy champion of the North American Poker Tour. This young professional poker player from Parsipity, New Jersey survived in a record field of 872 players. Marchese has delivered a quality poker against the runner-up Sam Stein who was in the way to win the first event of the NAPT on the American soil.
"It's a bit painful," said Marchese facing the camera in an interview. "The event is certainly one of my favorites. The turnout was great, the structure was really good and the tournament staff did a great job all the week. I will definitely return next year”, he continued. As the tournament unfolded in the land of Uncle Sam, the field was logically constituted a large majority of American players. But four French players had done a beautiful NAPT putting themselves in the money. Klaus Pautrot the 34th who win a prize of $16,071 before, Bruno Martin in the 52nd spot, Fabrice Soulier, 54th for $13,660 gain, Ludovic Schlam, 63rd.
