Caribbean Poker Adventure: More than 1,500 players registered
If the Day 1A of the Carribean Poker Adventure which is currently held in an idyllic frame located in the Bahamas had attracted only 668 players, it was very different at the time of the Day 1B. Indeed the second first day of this poker tournament had attracted 1,529 players, exceeding from a distance the field of 1,347 players of last year. Half of the participants felt after these two days of intense competition. The presence of many icons of international poker had raised the level of the tournament and gave to this 2010 Caribbean Poker Adventure a false air of the Main Event of the World Series of Poker (WSOP). Stars like Daniel Negreanu, Phil Ivey, Annette Obrestad, Joe Cada, Peter Eastgate, Dario Minieri, Barry Greenstein, Carlos Mortensen, Glen Chorny, Liz Place, Vanessa Rousso, Gavin Smith, and Freddy Deeb have made the travel for the event.
At the head of the chipleader board, we find the chipleader of the Day 1A, the British Wayne Bentley with his 329,500 tokens. He is followed by the Brazilian player Anibal Tacla who is the leader of the Day 1B with 166,000 tokens. The French clan has a good depart even if no tricolor player is classified in the top of the chipleader board. Nicolas Levi holds 102,400 tokens or Ludovic Lacay with 71,800 tokens. Among those who will be obliged to leave prematurely the tournament, we will quote Arnaud Mattern, the star of online poker Tom “durrrr” Dwan or the former tennis player reconverted in poker Boris Becker.
