Germany: 2,000,000 online gamblers in spite of the ban by the law
According to a study published by Bitkom Research, which is a subsidiary company of Bitkom created on January the 1st, 2008 and which treats current data and studies about international markets of electronics, entertainment and the new numerical media, 2 millions Germans had played on a online website of gambling, casino, online poker or sports betting during 2009. Even if it is prohibits by the German law to play online in the 16 regions of the country. This number decrease if compared with 2008, because during this year 2.2 million players were mentioned.
