WPTE: the company becomes Ante4 after its repurchase
According to very serious Los Angeles Business Journal, World Poker Tour Enterprises which runs World Poker Tour (WPT) will have to be known under a new name. The founder of PartyGaming Media who is the new owner of the World Poker Tour Enterprises announced after the new purchase that the company is henceforth going to answer in the name of Ante4. This change of name relegates World Poker Tour Enterprises to the old story and marks a new start for the new jewel of PartyGaming that is World Poker Tour.
During the interview of Steve Lipscomd, who is the father of PartyGaming, with the journalist Joel Russel, the new agreement with PartyGaming ensures a radiant future to the company due to the financial fallout of the next tournaments of poker. According to the marketing director of PartyGaming, Chris Welch, dismissals of staff of the ancient World Poker Tour Enterprises are not for in the agenda and that the next tournament World Poker Tour will be prepared and organized by the same employees. Let us remind that the serial WPTE concerning its disposal by its former owner was one of the highest unexpected developments in the industry of the poker. Several months were needed so that the name of the current owner is known. It is on October 30th, 2009 when the members of the board ended the suspense, by announcing officially that it is PartyGaming which is from now on the holder of the WPTE thanks to its 12 million dollar tender.
