"Poker in the Sky": A poker competition at 50 m above the ground
Certainly, organizers of poker tournament hadnt lack of imagination. With the popularity of poker and its reputation, this game is played in a more or less unusual and original way. The latest is the tournament "Poker in the Sky", a tournament which took place in the Danish capital on September the 11th, 2009. The event was organized by an online poker room with Ace Magazine. 22 players took part in this little common tournament, because tables were hanged up at 50 metres above the city hall of Copenhagen. Spectators flocked together and had only to look upstairs to see this outstanding game of poker. The presence of two stars of the Danish media on the hanged table attracted little more passers-bys attention.
Theo Jorgensen, a Danish poker player having at his own a WSOP bracelet, cancelled at the lat minute his participation because of acrophobia (fear of the space). As fate makes very well things, success went to a homonym, another Jorgensen. We are here talking about Johannes Jorgensen a 24-year-old journalist. With this victory the young journalist was able to win a $13,000 package for the World Open V which will be held in London from the 11th till the 15th October 2009. He will have the opportunity to compete with big sizes as "Durrr" or Mike Sexton. This extreme tournament of poker was a real success, because due to his new nature, it had enjoyed a very good media coverage as in traditional media as on internet.
