Hall of Fame: "Durrr" remains ineligible for this year
The board of directors of Poker Hall of Fame has just reduced to 9 the number of the nominated persons for this year 2009. At first, there were 10 players susceptible to enter this temple of legend of poker but the council has just opposed firmly to Tom Dwan's aka "Durrr" appointment in spite of the performance of this last one in online poker and its unmistakable quality of game. Tom Dwan arises from poker players' new generation who make the law on online poker planet. He was choosen by surfers via a system of online vote which took place between May to July.
The council considers that "Durrr" does not satisfy completely the criteria required to have a place in the poker saint, "experience" along years is missing in him. In order to be eligible to Poker Hall of Fame, conditions are drastic. Every pretender must have experience in high limit, having played against big players of his time, having played in a constant way and have survived the test of time. Non-players can also claim to enter to Poker Hall of Fame if they had contributed to the growth and to the success of poker. Let us remind that Poker Hall of Fame was created by Benny Binion in 1979 to honour big players of poker and in order to get tourist attraction for his casino. Since its creation, 37 players were introduced in this temple of legends of this game.
