Online Poker Network Excapsa Debuts on LSE
The London Stock Exchange's (LSE) Alternative Investment Market (AIM) continues to be the stock exchange of choice for online gaming and poker companies, with major players such as 888.com, PartyGaming, and Empire Online already listed. The latest online gaming company to join them is Excapsa, an online poker network that floated on Thursday. Excapsa stock, which trades under the ticker symbol XCP, is valued at £1.10. On its first day on the LSE, the online poker company raised more than £26 million. The Excapsa online poker network is home to, most notably, Ultimate Bet, in addition to Ultimate Poker and the Aviation Club de France's online poker room. According to Excapsa, the company planned to put the £22.4 in net gains it earned on its first day of trading toward eliminating debt and increasing its working capital.
