Televised Poker Tournament in the Works for William Hill
UK betting and gaming company William Hill announced the company's official foray into major tournament poker, with its forthcoming 'William Hill Grand Prix' poker tournament. The 'William Hill Grand Prix' will boast a prize pool of at least £450,000 ($777,671), including a top prize of £150,000 ($259,240). In the style of major poker tournaments, William Hill is planning on bringing the action to TV. UK production team Presentable Ltd has been enlisted to produce the program. Cable viewers can expect to see the tournament on Sky TV's Poker 425 in December. Qualifier satellite tournaments are currently being held at William Hill's online poker site, williamhillpoker.com. Qualifying events will be held through the 18th of September.
